My scheduled C Section is TOMORROW! I am nesting like a mad woman. Every surface of my home has been wiped with all the Thieves cleaning products. Bottles and pacis washed in Thieves dish soap, countertops and surfaces scrubbed with Thieves cleaner, car seat and changing pad wiped with Thieves Wipes, and baby girl's laundry with Thieves Laundry Soap.
Do you know what is in your fancy "baby friendly" detergents and products? But do you really know? After I started using Young Living Essential Oils, I was turned onto the EWG (Environmental Working Group). It then became a no-brainer to look into using other prducts from Young Living besides the oils themselves.
So many friends of mine use this product and I've also seen it on registries of my fellow expectant mama friends. Dreft. And this is a product made specifically for babies. F's across the board by the Environmental Working Group. When I asked, most moms admitted that they used it because on the Dreft website it claims it is the "Number one prediatrician recommended detergent". But did you know, they don't actually need a certification to claim this? Hypoallergenic does not mean chemical free.
On top of this, parents are spending money on a completely separate detergent for their babies and let's not forget the time and energy it takes to wash in separate loads.
Don't even get me started on the chemical ridden dryer sheets! My favorite trick as an alternative is a couple drops of Lavender or Purifucation on a few wool dryer balls. My laundry smells so dreamy and makes it more fun to do because you know...#laundry.
Saying yes to Young Living Essential Oils and changing over to their cleaning products to replace the poison in our household was the smartest and most economical decision I've ever made. I'm passionate about this company and happy to teach anyone who wants to learn about them too. We don't have the luxury of knowing exactly where cancer comes from when diagnosed, but having truly CLEAN products in your home is one less worry and more peace of mind.
