The Tiniest Party Animal

When it came to planning my shower I wasn't shy about wanting to be in charge. I am such a planner at heart and it is one of my truest passions to style and plan parties. Still, there was no shortage of help and support from friends and family and I am so so grateful and lucky to have them!

I knew I wanted to incorporate hand painted elements and tie in a "party animal" theme. I saw these adorable unfinished ceramic giraffes and elephants at Target and knew I wanted to include them right away. They were the perfect modern touch of party animal I was looking for.  I left them unfinished and intertwined them within the beautiful floral runners on the tables. I painted artwork for the babe's nursery and quickly decided to use it for inspiration for the shower.  I wanted to keep it girly (but not pink) so I chose to work with shades of peach and blush. From there I incorporated a similar painting technique for the water glasses, muslin bags for the make and take, and the mongram "E" on the cake table. Through this, I discovered a new painting style that I can call my own and I haven't looked back since. It is safe to say this baby girl is my muse.

Having an essential oil DIY was a must. Young Living is a big part of my life and I wanted to send something home with my guests that would always remind them of this day and my sweet babe. It was also how I revealed her name: Everley Scout. I decided on a custom perfume blend made with jasmine as the top note.

This was the shower of my dreams and I got to share it with all of my favorite people. I am so excited to share it with you and for Everley to be able to see this when she is older is such a blessing.
